"RESOLVED that(i) Cornwall Council declares an Ecological Emergency, giving full parity of esteem with the declared Climate Emergency, and then acts accordingly to protect, conserve and grow Cornwall’s eco-systems to ensure a fully sustainable low carbon future for Cornwall; and(ii) The Constitution and Governance Committee, as part of their review of scrutiny arrangements set out in their work programme, consider the most effective method of democratic oversight and scrutiny for both the Carbon Neutral Action Plan and the monitoring and evaluation of the Environment Growth Strategy for both the Council’s operational responsibilities and wider facilitation across Cornwall."
